texas hold em strategy
Texas Hold' em is the most popular game of poker. Watch how players are betting during Texas Hold Em poker game and remember that. Play better Texas Hold Em poker with access to everything you'll need to win. You can use some useful tips and strategies , when playing Texas Hold' em against other players : 1. Fast play, high pairs and very strong hands before the flop. This puts more money in the early pot and encourages weak hands that could get a lucky flop and beat you to fold early. 2. Don't play every hand It goes along with assessing the pot amounts, but starts earlier than there. If you're dealt a hand full of crap - fold! Provided you're not bluffing, why put in any more money than you have to when the odds are against you. The reason most people stay in on a bad deal? 'Because it's boring to fold and wait for the next hand.' That's not something you'll hear a professional player say, ever. 3. The exception to this is the occasional bluff. It's still not wise to stay in without a decent hand if someone else has initiated the raising and appears to have a hand. However, if you never put any money on the table without having 4 of a kind first, people will eventually figure it out. When that happens, the pots will be small on your winning hands because people will know to fold. 4. Study your opponents, especially when you are not playing hands and can pay careful attention. Do they find more hands to play than they fold? Do they bluff? Can they be bluffed? Do they have any "tells" that disclose information about their hands etc. 5. If someone bets before you on the flop you can call with two overcards, but fold them at the turn unless your hand improves at that point. You can call with two major overcards if someone raises your bet on the flop. You can also check-call a bet on the turn with that kind of hand, unless the board looks threatening. A small pair with an overcard kicker is a strong hand that you can call a raise with on the flop. However, you should probably fold the hand on the next round if it was raised on the flop and you haven't improved the hand and someone bets before you. 6. Mistakes and misfortunes when beginning is a normal thing. Nobody makes success at once, except of those legendary heroes, whose personalities are uncertain and, I bet, fictitious. Having gained good practice with playing free you will definitely want to play for real money. But don't hurry up and bet hundreds. Begin from low amounts and don't be afraid to lose and don't get upset if lost - learn from your mistakes, and better write everything down to have your own "tip list" in pocket. Here are the hands: Royal Flush - Ace, King, Queen, Jack and 10, all of the same suit. Straight Flush - Any five-card sequence in the same suit. Four of a Kind - All four cards of the same value. Full house - Three of a kind and a pair. Flush - Five cards, in any order, of the same suit. Straight - Five cards in a sequence, but not in the same suit. Three of a Kind - A hand with three cards of the same rank. Two Pair - A hand with two cards of one rank and two cards of another rank. Pair - A pair is two matching cards with three distinct cards. High Card - When you don't have any of the above, your highest card determines your hand. |
